Prior to forming the firm of Withrow & Terranova, Mr. Terranova was a practicing patent attorney. Mr. Terranova was also General Patent Counsel and Assistant General Counsel of Marconi Commerce Systems (Gilbarco). Mr. Terranova was employed as an engineer at Nortel Networks, General Electric, and Marconi Commerce Systems prior to becoming a patent attorney, and is an inventor on over ten issued and pending patents.

Mr. Terranova's expertise includes preparation and prosecution of patent and trademark applications, performance of infringement and validity studies of issued patents, representation in patent and trademark infringement litigation, multi-party proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and technology transfer transactions.

Mr. Terranova is admitted to practice law in the State of North Carolina and the District of Columbia. He is a registered patent attorney licensed to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Terranova is a member of the Triangle Intellectual Property Law Associations, American Bar Association, American Intellectual Property Law Association, and the International Trademark Association.
